Pros and cons of Joggy Steps - Pedometer Stopwatch Running / Walking / Hiking / Jogging app for iPhone and iPad

Joggy Steps - Pedometer Stopwatch Running / Walking / Hiking / Jogging app good for

I recently decided to start running again after a couple of years and wanted an app to help keep me inspired. Joggy Steps has a bunch of cool features that not only encourage me to keep running, but also make it fun. The voice that comes on after each song or two with real time status updates is awesome. "oh, Im at 1.9miles? Sure, Ill keep going until I hit 2miles even." Another cool thing is the ability to post your runs on facebook and such. I enjoy seeing my friends comments on my current run stats. Finally, the integrated iPod control actually works, which is crazy because so many other apps have promised such functionality and failed horribly at providing it. The only downside is that if youre running a closed course, like a track or a fenced in field, it doesnt calculate how far youve gone correctly, which then throws of your time per mile, etc. If youre road running, this app will work as advertised.
Ben fatto e molte funzioni sfiziose ma non mantiene salvati i dati del peso. Very good sw with many nice functions but it doesnt keep saved the weight setting

Some bad moments

I mostly have used this app for walking. It does what it says it does. It will announce to you at intervals that you can set your time, distance, pace, etc. I dont know about the accuracy but it seems to be sufficiently accurate for my casual purposes. One feature is that it is a good audio player allowing you to make a new music list even on the fly. It also allows playing of podcasts while walking. Music player and start of walk are seperate from one another. I would like to see a more readable display in the sun as it tends to wash out and I also would like to see the earphone pause control cause both music and chronometer pause. It is inconvenient to have to take it out of the pocket to pause when stopping. The buttons could be a little larger but it is not a big thing. All in all I would say it is worth the purchase.
downloaded this app and it will not run. Screen loads with background image only no data or buttons they times out and goes back to Iphone app window.
Almost impossible to see in daylight. Just needed time, distance in tenths of mile and average speed in miles. This app is like a chinese Swiss army knife, has a lot of features, most are useless or dont work properly. If you try to read while running on trail you will probably trip and fall. Dont waste time or money on this crap app. Also if you get an alert it stops so if you are focused on running and dont notice you are screwed on time and pace.
I love this app. It works just fine & seems accurate. For those of you having trouble, your probably just not using it correctly & need to learn to have more patience. :-)
Okay on straight courses. Does not work in neighbor hoods with cul de sacs. Distance get messed up
Cool gadget, not accurate, it doesnt save settings as far as height and walk/run stride length. I have to be sure its set where I want it but Im sure its still not saving as the distances are way off. For example, I run a trail around a lake which is 1.5 miles. When the app stops and I check status, itll say I had just run over 4 miles. There are some settings/icons on this app that Im also unsure what they mean as theres no help section or instructions as to help with this app. Again, great potential is in sight but definitely has a few things that needs fixed. Ill keep using it and hopefully learn some answers to my questions as I go along :-)
